We know coworking is pretty new to the community - so, we put together some FAQs and answers to help explain what all you'll find at NEWORK Space!
WHAT IS COWORKING?
NEWORK Space is a shared work space for entrepreneurs, professional freelancers, small businesses, commuters, academics and students that boasts private offices, dedicated desks, floating seats, and three meeting rooms with state-of-the-art technology. We like to think of ourselves as not just a shared office, but as a collaborative community of energetic, creative people who are forward thinking.
WHERE IS THE BUILDING?
Our base is located at 14 North Park Place, Newark Ohio 43055. We're on the square in downtown Newark, right across from the courthouse and between Goumas Candyland and Park Place Bistro.
WHAT HOURS ARE YOU OPEN?
Members: 365, 24/7
Guests and Visitors: M-F, 9:00am - 5:00pm
WHERE DO I PARK?
Street parking is available throughout downtown Newark, and there is a free parking garage as well. Be sure to note the different time restrictions for street parking. Use this map of downtown parking as a guide.
ARE THERE ANY RULES?
Yes, a few basic ones. Here is a link to our House Rules.
CAN I HAVE GUESTS?
Of course! We just ask that you sign in guests prior to your meeting, and be respectful of others working in the space. If your guest wants to stay for an extended period of time, or stay to work after a meeting ends, they may be asked to purchase a day pass.
HOW DO I PICK UP MY MAIL?
Membership also comes with a 14 N. Park Place mailing address! Mailboxes are on our first floor, next to the community manager desk. When mail arrives, our manager will sort and place in members' mailboxes, and email you if you have something to pick up. Feel free to also stop by and check your box at any time.
HOW DO I RESERVE A MEETING ROOM?
Meeting rooms can be reserved online, here. Or stop by the front desk, and ask one of our community managers.
CAN I SET UP AND WORK IN AN EMPTY MEETING ROOM?
Yes, just be sure to check the Bookings Calendar or ask one of the managers to make sure the room is available. If someone books the meeting room while you are working there, you may be asked to move.
CAN I REFILL THE COFFEE? AM I ALLOWED TO ADD PAPER TO THE PRINTER?
Absolutely! We want you to feel right at home at NEWORK. If you need help finding supplies or want to learn to make coffee on the first floor, our community managers are happy to help and can share videos on operating "Big Bertha" (what we've lovingly nicknamed our quite impressive 1st floor coffee machine).
WHAT KINDS OF NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES DO I GET WITH MY MEMBERSHIP?
We provide a variety of programs including Lunch-N-Learns, seminars, presentations, and informal “get togethers”. Some of our programs are for members only. CAN I TAKE A PHONE CALL IN THE COWORKING SPACE?
Yes, but be respectful of those around you. There are private phone booths on the second floor. You may also step into an unoccupied meeting room to take a phone call.
